Back innovative not-for-profits and supercharge social change.
About us
10x10 builds the networks that back innovative not-for-profits (NFPs) taking on Australia’s toughest social challenges. We have two strategies for building high-impact networks; - Fuelling a thriving movement: We host flagship events that bring people together to be part of something bigger. A social movement where their time, connections, and capital can transform communities. - Building a funding ecosystem: We're building a venture philanthropy funding ecosystem, where individuals, corporates and funders unlock new and better philanthropy. Together, we accelerate social change, scaling the ideas of innovative NFPs. Through fuelling a thriving movement and building a funding ecosystem, our model turns every $1 invested into $10 of value created for NFPs and the people they support - and this impact is only set to grow. Our aim is to unlock $100M in value for NFPs by June 2028. Over the last 12 years we’ve supported 400+ organisations targeting all 17 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, engaged 20k individuals in philanthropy and unlocked over $25M in funding for innovative not-for-profits. Some of the NFPs in our community include Fighting Chance, OrangeSky Laundry, Consent Labs, Bandu and This Is A Conversation Starter (TIACS).

As we kick off a new year and reflect on what 2025 taught us, it’s a great moment to pause and ask: where does philanthropy fit into your year ahead and what does it mean to you? For some it might be volunteering your time for a local not-for-profit or checking in on your elderly neighbour for a cup of tea. For others it could mean donating more regularly to causes that strike a chord or using your skills and network to support those doing important work on the ground. At 10x10 we believe everyone has the power to make an impact no matter how big or small. How will you play a part in your community this year? Share your intentions in the comments below and together let's make 2026 the most impactful one yet. 🙌

As we close out the year, we’re looking back on the second half of 2025 and everything we’ve collectively achieved across the movement. In the last 6 months, we held 9 events across Australia helping to unlock over $390k in funding, which will support 26 NFPs nationwide. It’s important to remember that funding is only the beginning. The real impact of our events lives in the connections sparked for our NFPs, opening up opportunities for follow-on support as the 10x10 network offers their time, skills and resources. That’s why we track not just financial outcomes, but the non-financial and indirect value created long after our activations have ended. If you attended one of our recent events and have been inspired to get involved in the movement, comment below and share your story. 🧡 Together we’re building a thriving movement, redefining what philanthropy looks like beyond financial donations, by shaping a community that connects people to causes inspiring action-oriented impact for some of Australia’s most innovative social entrepreneurs. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to every one of our volunteers and corporate partners who we’ve engaged this year. Your support continues to bring us one step closer to achieving our big-hairy-audacious-goal (BHAG) of unlocking $100 million in value for the social impact sector by June 2028. Here’s to making even more impact for our early-stage NFPs in 2026. 🙌🤎

Our hearts are with everyone affected by the horrific violence in Bondi Beach yesterday. As a Sydney-headquartered organisation, we feel this deeply. We stand in solidarity with the victims, their families and the Jewish community, as well as all who are grieving, shaken or fearful in its aftermath. We unequivocally condemn this violence. No one should be targeted for who they are, or feel unsafe gathering in this community. At 10x10, our work is grounded in care, connection and belonging. Moments like this remind us why those values matter, and why showing up for one another matters even more. If anyone in our community needs support at this time, please reach out. We are here.

Are you a board director of an NFP? Or interested NFP governance? Have a read of this article from the most recent edition of the Australian Institute of Company Directors magazine written by 10x10 Founder Laurence Marshbaum OAM. It shares insights about how to have the most impact as a board director of an NFP, and the importance of ‘showing up in a way that genuinely strengthens the organisation’. It’s a great read that shares practical advice about how board directors can use their time, talent and treasure effectively to create meaningful engagement rather than passive governance.
It was a great pleasure to feature in this months Australian Institute of Company Directors Magazine to talk to the critical role board directors can play in the growth and support of early stage social purpose organisations
