We are happy to share that construction of our new Tamworth Processing Plant is progressing well and is scheduled for completion by April 2026. This facility will set a new benchmark for poultry processing in Australia, and be world-class in terms of the latest technology and processing techniques. The facility will be able to process up to 3 million chickens per week at full capacity. Our wastewater process, to be installed at the site, will unlock the ability to harvest biogas for the purpose of fuelling onsite boilers. It is estimated that 70% of our natural gas requirement will be offset by utilising this renewable energy initiative. The Tamworth site will also be best-in-class for our employees, offering modern amenities, cafeteria, an outdoor break-out area, along with a gymnasium and a people-first design that empowers our team to thrive. #Baiada #Tamworth #Sustainability

Our Hanwood processing site in Griffith is set to become our largest solar-powered site within the business - a key step in meeting our ESG sustainability targets and strengthening energy resilience across the business.   With 7,300 kWh of solar capacity being installed, Hanwood will soon generate more than 12.8 million kWh of clean energy every year — supplying 24% of the site’s power needs.
