Why are sit-down events better than standing ones? Today I had the pleasure of celebrating International Limoncello Day with Tommy’s Booze and La Lucciola, hosted by the wonderful team at onetwo agency. We were welcomed by long, candlelit tables adorned with fresh lemons. Warm, inviting, and designed to bring people together. The afternoon kicked off with a Limoncello making session led by Tommy’s founders, Thomas Giurioli and Dan Leuzzi. We followed along from our seats, zesting lemons, sipping spritzes, and chatting in between. We shared a beautiful Italian lunch, made by Nonna herself, and ended the day with DIY cannoli. It made me realise that sit-down events don’t just feel more intimate, they are more intimate. When you're seated, you’re present. You take your time. You talk, you listen, you connect. And that creates something more memorable than any quick canapé ever could: a sense of trust, belonging, and real community.
