Our specialty lies in converting natural fats and oils into a wide range of oleochemical products, such as fatty acids, glycerin, esters, dimers, technical oils, specialty oleochemicals and biodiesel. As a leading producer of oleochemicals made from renewable raw materials, our products combine high performance with ready biodegradability. Our natural chemistry is everywhere. We offer our oleochemical building blocks and ingredients in a large variety of markets such as: Crop protection, Cosmetics, Industrial Ingredients, Lubricants, Nutrition, Oilfields, Coatings, Detergents and many more. Our oleochemicals are used for their functional properties such as chemical reactivity, lubricity, stabilization of emulsions, etc. The industry also attaches great value to the fact that most oleochemicals are completely non-toxic, and do not cause skin or eye irritation. Oleon recently held a dynamic sensorial panel workshop at our Port Klang site, bringing together passionate team members from various departments for an immersive three-hour session. The workshop focused on screening and training potential panelists to evaluate the sensory profiles of our cosmetic and skincare formulations. It is an important step to improve our understanding of consumer preferences while enhancing our products. After in-depth theoretical and technical sessions, participants engaged in hands-on practice, using three different methods to analyze unknown samples and capturing their insights through response cards. Oleon Asia-Pacific volunteers recently came together for a meaningful sustainability initiative, a coastal cleanup at Gulangyu Island, Xiamen. Gulangyu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famous for its unique blend of Chinese and Western architecture and attracts over 10 million visitors annually. With such high traffic, protecting its environment is a shared responsibility. As part of our Serving the Earth effort in China, our team spent the day collecting litter to help preserve this treasured site. This activity was more than just cleaning up. This meaningful project aligns closely with Oleon’s commitment to Serving The Earth by taking action for inclusive and sustainable communities. This experience not only brought blessings to the communities we serve but also enriched each of us as individuals, highlighting that giving truly is a two-way gift.
