Join an established DC-based M&A firm as Director of M&A Advisory. Known for their quality, this firm has grown steadily over its 30-year history through its buy-side advisory services to multinational public companies. To accommodate and support growth, the need for a new leader for their buy-side service has emerged.
The Director of M&A Advisory will use their ‘no job is too small’ mindset to further develop the buy-side practice through hands-on involvement, providing strategic guidance to clients and executing deals. The Director of M&A Advisory will bring their executive presence to lead client relationships from day one. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of complex client buy-side transactions:
- Conduct due diligence, valuation analysis, and financial modeling to assess target companies.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations around strategic recommendations, and transaction structures.
- Manage all phases of the acquisition process, including target identification, negotiation, and closing.
- Develop clients, win work and boost presence in the buy-side market
- Represent the firm at networking and industry events
- Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives.
- Act as a mentor and role model to other members of the team
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA, CPA, JD and/or CFA is desired
- Minimum of 10 years of client facing experience in investment banking, legal, corporate finance or accounting functions.
- Proven experience leading client presentations
- Preferred experience in strategy or transaction advisory consulting.
Compensation range: $150,000/year -$175,000/year
