📣 Big news for Saskatchewan craft beer! Black Bridge Brewing and 9 Mile Legacy Brewing are entering a joint venture to bring our two breweries closer together and support the long term strength of both brands. As part of this joint venture, production will be moving to the 9 Mile Legacy facility in Saskatoon. Black Bridge beers you know and love (IPA!, Milk Stout, Wheat Burst, and more) will continue to be brewed with the same recipes and the same dedication to quality. The Black Bridge taproom will be closing as part of this transition, but we will be looking for some great ways to continue to invest in Swift Current and the surrounding community! Both breweries remain rooted in the people and communities who built them, particularly the Southwest corner of our province. This joint venture lets us work together to keep these beers strong across Saskatchewan for years to come. We’re excited for this next chapter, and grateful for your support as we move forward together!

About us
The story of 9 Mile Legacy is one often told on the prairies. Brought together by circumstance and working together by choice. After quitting their respective jobs in 2013 with nothing but a dream and a few bags of malt, Shawn and Garrett opened 9 Mile as a nano-brewery in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. A lot of hard work, a bit of luck, a lot of good people, and few location changes later, 9 Mile's world headquarters is still located in Riversdale, a few blocks from the Flagship Taproom at 229 20th St West. Forever on the quest to be a good neighbor, 9 Mile values community, collaboration, integrity, and, of course, good beer.

Well, we owe a debt of gratitude to several people who helped keep the brewery in one piece over the weekend If you’ve been following the local news, you may have seen a report of a fire at a commercial building on the 400 block of 21st Street West🔥🔥 That was our building! Early Saturday morning, an unknown person causes a fire using a discarded pallet at the back of our brewery right next to the natural gas line. Mighty neighbourly! The result was a near catastrophe. Thankfully, a few things happened that prevented the situation from developing into the obvious worst case scenario First, the Saskatoon Fire Department was swiftly on the scene and contained the fire so that we suffered very focused and minor damage to the building. Most importantly no one was hurt. They also used a fan to quickly exchange the air so that it doesn’t seem that we suffered any smoke damage. We are so impressed and grateful for the great help from SFD when we needed it👨🏻🚒👩🏻🚒 Second, we benefit from a well constructed building that has been thoughtfully maintained over the years to minimize events like these. A lot of love and gratitude go out to our landlords Richard and Laura Scrivener for keeping our building in this condition and especially to Richard - who not only was one of the first early morning responders but also spent his Saturday helping us secure the site 💗 Finally - our electrician Scott Adams of Adams Electric was Johnny on the spot and worked hard with the City of Saskatoon to restore electrical service that same day - meaning that none of the beer in the tanks was lost ⚡️ We are doing fine and expect to see minimal disruption to the brewery. Always grateful to operate within a caring community but especially at times when hit with the unexpected Whoever called 911 - on the honour system - stop by the brewery! You’ve got a bit of “thank you beer” waiting with your name on it. Cheers to you! 🍻

We brought in the troops for our latest release 🇨🇦🍻 Our gratitude to our friends at the North Saskatchewan Reginet or everything that they do and especially for the extra set of hands today! This version of Iron Sight is a Regimental Private Reserve - exclusively available at the Vimy Dinner this Saturday night. The beer style is a Belgian-style witbier and commemorates Sgt Bill, the regiment’s mascot during WWI Despite being wounded and gassed on multiple occasions (and court marshalled on a couple of other occasions), Sgt Bill survived the war and returned to Canada becoming the senior mascot of the Canadian army. He was a soldier of the trenches, loved by all Sgt Bill embodies the regimental motto: Cede Nullis (Yield to None) 🍻🇨🇦🐐🇨🇦🍻
