This week, Polar Asset Management Partners Inc. kicked off our 2025 United Way campaign with an inspiring start. We were joined by the amazing team at United Way Greater Toronto including Ruth Crammond, Silva Karagoz, and Maureen Gallagher, and Sebastian Shushan, a United Way agency volunteer and former program participant. Sebastian’s story — of receiving support, finding stability, and now giving back through his work — is a reminder of why this campaign matters. It’s about investing in people, in community, and in the systems that help build a better city. Over the past 23 years, Polar employees have contributed more than $10 million to the United Way. We’re proud to continue this partnership and to stand behind the organizations that make lasting change possible. #PolarAssetManagementPartners #CapitalAllocation #UnitedWay #CommunityImpact

Last week, Polar Asset Management Partners Inc. hosted an event exploring how art shapes the spaces we live and work in. Our founder Paul Sabourin — a dedicated collector of Canadian contemporary art whose works have been lent to various galleries — led a discussion on How to Build an Art Collection. He was joined by Angelica Demetriou and Caroline Pearson of the Demetriou Art Group Inc., and Sarah Massie, Partner at Nicholas Metivier Gallery. Together, they explored how collections come to life — from where to begin and how to develop an eye, to the philosophies that guide collectors and curators. The evening concluded with a guided tour of Polar’s refreshed collection, part of our ongoing quarterly art tours that celebrate creativity and dialogue through art. Thank you to our speakers and everyone who took part in the conversation. #PolarAssetManagementPartners #DifferentiatedReturns #CanadianArt #CanadianContemporaryArt

Last week, Polar Asset Management Partners Inc. joined Breakthrough T1D Canada | Percée DT1's Ride to Defeat Diabetes, an initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research. Polar’s own Mike Green, John McArthur, Nikita Naychukov, and David Galica rode alongside Jason Cope, who has led this fundraising effort for the past four years. In Canada, an estimated 300,000 children, teens, and adults live with Type 1 Diabetes, with approximately 30 new diagnoses every day. There’s still no known cause or cure, but progress in research and improved access to devices and care are making a real difference. We’re also proud to share that the Polar Foundation has made a $10,000 donation in support of this effort — helping place the team 5th in Canada for fundraising! #PolarAssetManagementPartners #CapitalMarkets #PolarFoundation #Type1Diabetes #BreakthroughT1D

We were pleased to welcome The Right Honourable Stephen J. Harper, Canada’s 22nd Prime Minister, to our Investor Day. As the first economist to serve as Prime Minister, Mr. Harper led Canada for nearly a decade through some of the world’s most complex economic challenges. His insights on geopolitics, Canada’s growth opportunity, capital formation, and the investment landscape helped make the day a success. #PolarAssetManagementPartners #CapitalMarkets #Canada #StephenHarper

We are proud to support the Ivey Business School’s Women in Asset Management (WAM) program — a transformative initiative committed to seeing more women build lasting, successful careers in asset management. Last Thursday, we celebrated the 2025 WAM cohort as they closed the market at the Toronto Stock Exchange, joined by Darren Meister, Associate Dean of Programs at Ivey. This year, over 700 women applied to the program from universities across Canada. Just 48 exceptional students were selected to participate in the program which included a 12 week internship at Polar and other leading asset management firms in Canada. To mark the end of their summer internship experience, we hosted these talented women at Polar’s Toronto office for an evening of celebration, connection, and some friendly competition. Ravi Bhat, our Structured Products Portfolio Manager gave poker workshop, followed by a spirited tournament with prizes for the top finishers: 1st: Evangella Schloo 2nd: Evan Lucchese 3rd: Cary Long Congratulations to the winners and all the students who participated - We look forward to seeing where their paths lead.
