Before an aircraft takes off, there’s a team working behind the scenes — not just on the apron, but in our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) workshops. 🔧 At Flughafen Zürich AG, EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, and Genève Aéroport, our maintenance teams handle hundreds of service orders each month to keep over 2,000 pieces of ground support equipment operational. With over 395 GSE and eGSE in Zurich, 360 in Basel, and nearly 390 in Geneva, our experts keep operations running smoothly with on-site repairs and minimal downtime. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do — and our Swiss fleet is right on track to reach the global 55% electrification benchmark by the end of 2025. From pushback tractors to belt loaders, their work delivers one thing: safe, reliable, and efficient airport operations every day. 🦺

🏆 Jetstar’s Airport of the Month – OTP (July 2025) goes to Swissport Auckland! Even during the peak winter holiday season, our ramp and customer service teams delivered safe, reliable operations — helping flights depart on time and passengers stay on schedule. As our General Manager for New Zealand, Belén Lobos puts it: “Achieving this recognition during the busy winter school holidays makes it even more special. By focusing on those first flights each morning, we set the day up for success, and performance follows.” 👏 A big congratulations to the Auckland team for this well-deserved recognition.

Our Zurich team has just rolled out a brand-new fleet of electric passenger stairs – helping our airline partners cut ground emissions and give passengers an even smoother airport experience. 🙌 We’ve committed to making 55% of our global GSE fleet electric by 2032, and investments like this bring us closer to that goal. And it’s not just about the equipment. Our teams have completed comprehensive training to ensure safe and efficient handling… all while making the ramp quieter, cleaner, and greener. ✈️🌱♻️

No one likes disruption in the aviation industry, but when it’s unavoidable, a human touch can make all the difference to passengers. Recently, three Jetstar Airways flights were cancelled at Sunshine Coast Airport in Queensland, Australia due to heavy fog, leaving around 580 passengers stranded—many without accommodation. While disruptions are never easy, our passenger services team worked late into the night to support those affected. Supervisor Clare stayed until 5am, well past the end of her shift the previous evening, to personally check on passengers, prepare hot drinks, and help families settle in for the night. Her calm presence, care, and dedication turned a difficult situation into a moment of genuine service. Clare’s actions were praised by passengers, the airport team, and Jetstar, who described her response as “an exceptional display of commitment.” Thank you Clare and the whole team for going the extra mile. 👏

Plastic Free July may be wrapping up, but our commitment to reducing waste is only just getting started. ♻️ In our Aspire Executive Lounges, we’re moving closer to zero disposable plastic by: ✅ Phasing out single-use cups and tableware ✅ Working with suppliers to cut unnecessary packaging ✅ Rolling out agave-plant cutlery and compostable packaging ✅ Introducing wine-on-tap to reduce thousands of glass bottles every year And it’s not just lounges. At selected cargo stations in Europe including Helsinki, Brussels, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Vienna, our teams have implemented a closed-loop process to collect and recycle 100% of plastic film wrap, turning it into new pallet wrap that saves resources and cuts waste. These initiatives are part of our sustainability strategy, designed to reduce global supply chain emissions and support our airline customers in meeting their climate goals.
