Female Voice ist das Frauennetzwerk im und für das Forschungszentrum Jülich. Neben dem Austausch von Wissen und Erfahrungen widmet sich Female Voice proaktiv Themen, die der Gleichstellung der Geschlechter am Forschungszentrum dienen, um gleichstellungsrelevante Inhalte und Aktionen aktiv mitzugestalten. 2022 startete Female Voice die Initiative „Increase Female Wiki-bility", um Wikipedia-Artikel über Jülicher Wissenschaftlerinnen zu veröffentlichen Frauen sind in den Wikipedia-Biografien bislang deutlich unterrepräsentiert. Mithilfe der Initiative sollen Frauen in der Wissenschaft für die breite Öffentlichkeit sichtbarer werden. Deswegen möchten wir heute eine weitere Wissenschaftlerin des Forschungszentrums vorstellen: Prof. Dr. Andrea Schnepf leitet die Forschungsgruppe „Soil-, Root Systems and Rhizosphere Processes“ am Institute of Bio- and Geosciences - Agrosphere (IBG-3) des Forschungszentrum Jülich und ist Professorin an der Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. EU-Kommissarin für Umwelt zu Besuch an der Universität Bonn Wir freuen uns über den Besuch von EU-Kommissarin Jessika Roswall im Exzellenzcluster PhenoRob. Im Mittelpunkt des Austauschs mit den Forschenden standen digitale Landwirtschaft, nachhaltige Ernährungssysteme und der Erhalt der Biodiversität. PhenoRob entwickelt u.a. mit Hilfe von Robotik und KI zukunftsfähige Lösungen für eine nachhaltige Landwirtschaft. Kommissarin Roswall hob den wichtigen Beitrag von Forschung für Europas Ernährungssicherheit hervor. The discussions with the researchers focused on digital agriculture, sustainable food systems, and the preservation of biodiversity. PhenoRob develops innovative cultivation systems and technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) in order to develop future-proof solutions for the agriculture sector. Commissioner Roswall emphasized the important contribution research makes to Europe’s food security.
