Merantix AI Campus hat dies direkt geteilt
Our recent Merantix Capital AI Breakfast dove into one of the most emotionally loaded questions in AI right now. How will technology reshape how we teach and raise the next generation? It turned out to be one of our most-attended breakfasts ever. That tells you something about how important it is to get AI in education right. A few themes stood out: 1. The “ChatGPT moment” has already shifted traditional assessment. Essays and assignments no longer measure what they used to. As Katharina Ehrenfried described, we have to assess and teach thinking, rather than merely output. Digital literacy and responsible AI use need to become core skills. 2. The era of personalized learning is here Benedict Kurz described how tutoring is already used daily by millions of students globally thanks to AI, opening access to something that used to be limited to wealthier families. And what does AI tutoring look like in a world where AI takes on a physical, rather than screen-based form? 3. We have to innovate creatively to combat education inequality Where devices and connectivity aren’t available, AI as we imagine it doesn’t have the same reach. Paola Mejia, PhD highlighted initiatives using radio, SMS, and WhatsApp to deliver adaptive learning. 4. It’s hard to build in edtech As a VC, the fact is education remains very difficult for monetization. In terms of opportunity and impact, I nevertheless continue to like the space as a Merantix Capital venture studio case. If you’re a founder building here, drop me a line! This was truly one of the most energizing discussions we've had on the Merantix AI Campus. Thanks so much to our great panelists and attendees.
