Presentations. Love them or hate them, they are part of our day to day. I am not afraid of speaking in public and to give presentations. Am I perfect? Well, I wish I could say yes but I really am not. Do I sometimes need help, absolutely. But practice makes better. I started a course at eCornell and for two weeks the topic is about presentations, how to prepare, what to do and what not to do. The first lesson made me hit myself on the head as it is so logical yet........ Ask yourself these 3 questions when you are preparing your presentation: ✔️ What is the purpose, what is the story you are telling? ✔️ What is the change? ✔️ What is in it for them (your audience)? What is in it for them? Giving the data, telling the story, explain the journey, how does the presentation look is what people focus on all the time. But, how to interest your audience, how to get them onboard... ask the question while you are preparing your presentation: What is in it for them?
