We launched RecyclableBlade in 2021, with more than 300 blades confirmed in orders globally now being rolled out on both offshore and onshore turbines worldwide. These blades are designed to ease future recycling, increasing the recyclability ratio to more than 90%. Together with RWE, Sofia Offshore Wind Farm represents first large-scale deployment of this innovation in the UK. We are excited to celebrate the inauguration of VSB Group's Elster Wind Park in Germany, which is testament to the great teamwork between our customer, partners, and #TeamPurple. ⚡ With a capacity of 105.6 MW, it is the largest wind park we have installed in Germany to date. By replacing 50 old turbines with 16 SG 6.6-155 turbines, it also stands as one of Europe’s biggest repowering projects. 💡 Utilizing cameras and artificial intelligence to automatically generate reporting data allowed our site team to focus on quality, safety and operational excellence instead of paperwork. ♥ We are especially proud that our team managed to achieve Zero Harm during the installation phase, with no recorded injuries on site. 🚢 For the first time, we used inland vessels to transport some components, successfully navigating the challenges posed by infrastructure limitations and permitting in Germany. This ensured the timely delivery of heavy components to the site. The Elster Wind Park will now deliver clean energy to approximately 67,000 households and save 180,000 tons of CO2 compared to conventional energy generation.
