We have an opening for a Civil Engineer to join our clients busy London office on a full-time hybrid basis. Our client has nearly 15 European offices, over 1000 talented employees who dominate in the aviation, defence, highways, life sciences and industry, nuclear, power, public, and rail sectors. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in various sectors as part of an enthusiastic and committed team of engineers and technicians, working on a variety of medium-sized projects, where you will understand the latest industry-standard software and information management techniques in generating high quality, accurate and detailed design packages.
You’ll be working across diverse projects, you will be responsible for delivering civil designs, ensuring technical excellence, and mentoring junior team members. You will have the opportunity to develop infrastructure capabilities within a dynamic and growing team. You will also contribute to the wider development of the Civil & Structural department and support the implementation of best practices in design and project delivery.

What you need to succeed
-
Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
-
Experience delivering projects in one or more sectors – power sector experience desirable.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.

Detailed design in SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) and flood risk assessment
-
Below-ground service coordination experience & Microdrainage/infodrainage competency is essential

Working towards Chartered or Incorporated status (ICE or IStructE).

Strong understanding of drainage design, earthworks, and external works.

Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD (or similar) for modelling, layouts, and draughting designs.

Good knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, CDM regulations, and BIM processes.
