Airbus Helicopters recently delivered the first Airbus H145 helicopter to our long-standing partner, the French Gendarmerie Nationale! This H145 marks the beginning of a significant fleet renewal programme. Six aircraft were ordered in late 2023. The Gendarmerie Nationale will deploy this proven, state-of-the-art aircraft for its critical missions, including law enforcement, homeland security, search and rescue, and disaster management. The H145 is trusted by law enforcement and parapublic agencies worldwide. This aircraft is a true example of European aerospace collaboration. The aircraft is assembled at our Donauwörth, Germany site, while it integrates key components manufactured in France, including the blades (produced at Paris-Le Bourget), and the Safran Arriel 2E engines and Euroflir 410M electro-optical system. Airbus is honoured to continue supporting the Gendarmerie's vital operations, adding the H145 to their current fleet of H125, H135, and H145 family helicopters. A strategic choice for Europe’s gatekeepers - The Lithuanian Border Guard chose the five-bladed H145 to replace older aircraft, citing the need for "extra power and capabilities". For Lt. Col. Audrius Vaicekauskas, the decision was simple: "The main goal was multi-mission and increased payload capabilities, which are still real game changers." For a small country with critical missions - from border control to specialised surveillance (like monitoring potential radioactive fallout) - the H145 was the only helicopter in its class capable of fulfilling the full range of tasks. The first H145M for Belgium has completed its first test flight! This is the first of 15 multi-role H145Ms for the Belgian Defence and two for the Federal Police ordered in 2024. The H145M is incredibly versatile, quickly adapting to diverse operations. It can be reconfigured from one role to another within a short period of time, allowing it to seamlessly transition across a wide mission spectrum. The Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) has ordered one Airbus H225 for public service operations, reinforcing national security and emergency response capabilities. The H225 is set to be deployed primarily for law enforcement and counter terrorism operations, while also supporting critical missions such as search and rescue, humanitarian relief, and disaster response. “We are honoured to welcome the Korean National Police Agency to the Airbus family,” said Vincent Dubrule, Head of Asia-Pacific at Airbus Helicopters. “The H225 has earned a global reputation as a reliable, multi-mission workhorse.
