A gesture. A movement. The arrow, cutting through eras without ever losing its force. As early as the 1860s, Boucheron embraced this ancestral motif with its singular symbolism, evocative of both love and conflict, at the crossroads of power and delicacy. This year, our Creative Director, Claire Choisne, draws on this heritage to write the next chapter. Ever determined to reach its target, the arrow adapts to every desire: around a finger or a wrist, along the neck, or close to the heart as a brooch. #Boucheron #Flèche

In 1879, Frédéric Boucheron invented a necklace that revolutionized High Jewelry. At a time when women’s bodies were still being confined by jewelry and garments, Boucheron gave them the freedom to put on this clasp-free necklace, without assistance – a piece that could be slipped around the neck in a simple movement. This creation became the symbol of High Jewelry that was well ahead of its time. The asymmetrical shape, unusual for that period, led it to be named the Point d’Interrogation: the Question Mark necklace. More than 140 years after its creation, it remains one of the symbols of the Boucheron style. Whether drawn from heritage archives or reimagined by our Creative Director Claire Choisne, each Question Mark necklace celebrates freedom of movement and the beauty of self-expression. #Boucheron #QuestionMark

To celebrate the launch of the Carte Blanche High Jewelry collection, “Impermanence”, Boucheron welcomed guests to a deeply immersive and emotional event at its private apartment at 26 Place Vendôme, in Paris. The scenography was meticulously designed to capture the poetry, beauty, and concept of impermanence at the heart of the new collection. The entire space was enveloped in darkness, offering a minimalist canvas that allowed every jewel to shine in poignant contrast - echoing the collection’s meditation on the disappearance of nature. The journey began in a first room with a specially commissioned floral installation by Japanese artist Atsunobu Katagiri. Invited to interpret Claire Choisne’s vision, Katagiri assembled a diverse array of plants in a dynamic composition, where the individuality of each flower is gradually revealed as one draws closer. His work captures blossoms in every stage of life - some blooming, others quietly fading. Guests then entered a second room, where the High Jewelry pieces were displayed, highlighted by a black square anamorphosis- an optical illusion focusing the eye and inviting a new perspective. Every detail of the event was orchestrated to awaken the senses and touch the heart, allowing guests not only to see, but to feel the very essence of impermanence. #Boucheron #CarteBlancheHighJewelry #Impermanence

What if darkness could become substance? With the new Carte Blanche High Jewelry collection, “Impermanence”, Boucheron explores the very frontiers of light - and its absence. For the first time in High Jewelry, the material Vantablack® - one of the darkest substances ever created, absorbing 99.965% of light - has been used. Our Creative Director, Claire Choisne, chose to apply this extraordinary innovation to the final composition of her series, Composition n°1, which powerfully expresses the end of the natural cycle. And what better way to convey this message than with a material that captures light completely, giving form to pure darkness? In this composition, a poppy and sweet peas bloom at the heart of darkness, their contours shaped by blackness itself. The poppy’s matte black titanium petals are hand-etched with delicate veining on the inside, then coated with Vantablack®. Within the blossom, black spinels - set both upright and upside down - catch the few glimmers of light able to pierce through. The pistils, a feat of Boucheron savoir-faire, feature ultra-fine gold filaments adorned with black spinels and bezel-set diamonds. Completing the creation is a matte black titanium stem, delicately set with spinels. Innovation is nothing without craftsmanship. This piece is not only a technical achievement, but also a tribute to the expertise of our artisans, who continue to push boundaries in service of Claire Choisne’s creative vision. #Boucheron #CarteBlancheHighJewelry #Impermanence

Every Carte Blanche collection is driven by bold creativity and innovation, and “Impermanence” is no exception. But at Boucheron, pushing boundaries never means sacrificing the beauty of traditional savoir-faire. On the contrary: cutting-edge techniques and expert craftsmanship work hand in hand, coming together in perfect harmony to bring Claire Choisne’s creative dreams to life. This vision comes to life in Composition n°4, where the cyclamen flowers showcase the full mastery of the Boucheron ateliers. Each petal is sculpted in white gold and set by hand with nearly 700 rose-cut diamonds of various sizes and shapes. The result evokes a luminous stained-glass effect, where every stone is selected and placed with extraordinary precision to follow the natural movement of the petals, leaving barely a trace of metal visible beneath the sparkling mosaic. Glossy black lacquer traces the edges of each petal, intensifying the brilliance and underscoring the precision of our artisans’ work. #Boucheron #CarteBlancheHighJewelry #Impermanence

How close can High Jewelry come to true nature? With Carte Blanche “Impermanence,” Boucheron pursues its quest: to render the ephemeral eternal by capturing every nuance of nature with absolute realism. This year, Claire Choisne, our Creative Director, and our artisans have brought this vision to life through innovative techniques and groundbreaking materials, combined with exceptional savoir-faire. Composition n°5, featuring thistles, is a striking example of this pursuit. Every detail is faithfully preserved: the thistles’ sharp thorns and leaves rendered with ultra-precision and faithfulness to nature. For the first time in High Jewelry, ultra-high-resolution 3D printing with plant-based resin allowed us to achieve an extraordinary level of lifelike detail - an achievement that presented new challenges for our craftsmen. With no metal structure inside the flower heads, traditional diamond setting was impossible. Rising to this challenge, our artisans invented the “couture” setting: each diamond is meticulously sewn - one by one - into the resin’s alveoli, resulting in more than 800 diamonds set with absolute precision. The stems and leaves are shaped in white gold, set with diamonds, and coated in a fine layer of white ceramic, rendering the metal invisible and highlighting the purity of the form. By uniting pioneering technology and traditional savoir-faire, “Impermanence” invites us to contemplate the fragile beauty of each fleeting moment - captured for eternity through the hands of our artisans.  #Boucheron #CarteBlancheHighJewelry #Impermanence

Boucheron is proud to unveil “Impermanence”, the latest High Jewelry collection in our Carte Blanche series, imagined by our Creative Director, Claire Choisne. With this new collection, Claire Choisne continues the journey she began in 2018 with “Eternal Flowers”: rendering the ephemeral, eternal. This year, she invites us to pause and contemplate the fragile beauty of nature - to feel its impermanence so we may better cherish and protect it. Drawing inspiration from Japan’s art of flower arranging, ikebana, and the philosophy of wabi-sabi, “Impermanence” presents six botanical compositions that together conceal 28 exceptional High Jewelry pieces to be worn. Each of them, from “Composition n°6” - the lightest - to “Composition n°1” - the darkest - embodies how nature is gradually vanishing. Light is the common thread running through the collection: initially omnipresent, it fades gradually, giving way to darkness that evokes the end of a natural cycle. This extraordinary collection is the result of more than 18,000 hours of craftsmanship in our ateliers. True to the spirit of Carte Blanche, “Impermanence” once again pushes the boundaries of High Jewelry, both in artistry and in the pioneering use of materials and techniques. I am delighted to announce the opening of our new flagship boutique on Rodeo Drive, right in the heart of Los Angeles. This is an exceptional moment for all of us at Boucheron, marking a first in this iconic city, and a major milestone in our history in the US. Opening a flagship here feels like writing a new chapter in our Maison’s story. Since our founding in 1858, Boucheron has had the privilege of counting American clients - many from the country’s most iconic families - among our earliest and most loyal patrons. Over the decades, our creations have also adorned legendary Hollywood stars such as Elizabeth Taylor and Rita Hayworth. Today, it feels only natural that we are finally bringing Boucheron directly to them, opening our doors in Los Angeles and inviting a new generation to discover the Maison’s spirit of creativity and innovation. Our Rodeo Drive boutique is more than just a space to discover our collections; it’s an immersive experience deeply rooted in our Maison’s values. We wanted to create a space where every guest feels at home, with a warm family spirit at its heart. Inside, the Boucheron green "red carpet," unique Art Deco elements, and a VIP lounge inspired by Oscar night celebrate both Hollywood glamour and Parisian art de vivre. At Boucheron, jewelry is never just an object - it is a means of self-expression, a way to reveal one’s individuality and celebrate what makes each of us unique. I am so proud of our talented teams on both sides of the Atlantic who have made this vision possible. I look forward to welcoming friends of the Maison in Los Angeles and sharing this new adventure with them.

Innovation has been at the heart of our identity since the Maison’s visionary founder, Frédéric Boucheron, first pushed the boundaries of high jewelry in 1858. Still today, innovation is central to everything we do - not as an end in itself, but as a driving force to transform creative dreams into reality. Creative Director Claire Choisne embodies this spirit, continually redefining what is possible by challenging conventions and bringing bold new ideas to life. We invite you to discover Claire Choisne’s unique vision through her participation in the Kering Imagination Lab - a dynamic initiative launched in 2022 and dedicated to spreading a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the Kering Group. In this exclusive interview with Grégory Boutté, Claire shares insights into her creative process, the inspiration behind her daring approach, and advice for the next generation of creators. Through her perspective, discover why innovation at Boucheron is far more than a process or the use of new materials and techniques - it is a mindset that means constantly questioning the very notion of preciousness and reinventing the traditional ways of creating High Jewelry.
