#Innovation   Last March, Colas Rail won the Operational & Functional Excellence category at the Colas Innovation Awards for its Smart Catenary project.   But... what exactly is it? 👇 Smart Catenary is a set of smart solutions designed to revolutionize catenary maintenance, which is still very manual and not very ergonomic.   This innovation is made up of two solutions: AI Pendule: a small machine that moves along the catenary to make regular markings. ➡️ Result: less fatigue, greater precision, and real time savings.   E-Dégrif: an ergonomic clamp that makes it easy to detach catenary claws. ➡️ Less strain on teams and recovery of copper instead of losing it.   In concrete terms, Smart Catenary makes it possible to: ✔ improve employee safety ✔ speed up operations ✔ enhance traceability ✔ reduce CO₂ emissions ✔ conserve resources   This is concrete proof that innovation can transform our professions in the service of the field, safety, and performance.   Congratulations again to the Colas Rail teams! 👏   #ColasRail #SmartCatenary #InnovationAwards #OperationalExcellence #RailwayInnovation #RailwayMaintenance #SustainableMobility

#RoadSafetyWeek   At Colas Rail, road safety is our top priority. For this second edition, our teams were able to experiment and learn about road risks through a variety of interactive workshops around the world.🚦   Our key initiatives: ✔️ Pedal karting – understanding the effects of addiction on driving ✔️ Road risk management simulator – understanding risky situations and adopting the right reflexes ✔️ Rollover car – visualizing the consequences of an accident and the importance of seat belts ✔️ Glasses simulating driving under the influence of alcohol – becoming aware of the impact of alcohol on reflexes and perception ✔️ Renault garage intervention on site – checking essential safety components and vehicle equipment ✔️Webinars – informing and reinforcing prevention of distractions, fatigue, emotion management, and driving under the influence ✔️ West Midlands Police – sharing facts and consequences of recent incidents to better understand risk factors   On several sites, our teams also had the opportunity to check tire pressure and to review best practices for safe driving.   At Colas Rail, prevention means action. #Disability   From November 17th to 21st, Colas Rail has celebrated inclusion during European Disability Employment Week. 🤝   To raise awareness in a fun way, the WE Colas Rail network proposed the Handipoursuite game, developed by AGEFIPH: a great way to enrich our knowledge about disability while promoting dialogue and cohesion among employees.   This week also marked an important milestone: the launch of the official website for our disability ambassadors! The purpose of this local initiative is to: ✔️promote the Group's disability policy, ✔️offer a listening ear and support to employees facing health difficulties at work, ✔️and point everyone to the right contacts.   Each day, a new theme was highlighted through practical guides, helping people to understand, deconstruct biases, and adopt the right reflexes. #TRANSMEA   Three busy days in Cairo for a new edition of TransMEA! Between meetings, technical discussions, and feedback sessions, we were able to share our vision of tomorrow's mobility alongside our partners Orascom Construction PLC, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Hitachi Rail. 🚆   The goal? To present the progress of several major projects for the country: the renovation of Cairo Metro Line 1, the future Aboukir Metro, and Cairo Metro Line 4. TransMEA also provided an opportunity to discuss upcoming challenges: the extension of Line 6 and the extension of Line 3 to the airport. 🌍   We were delighted to welcome Eric Chevallier, French Ambassador to Egypt, who reaffirmed the French authorities' support for these major projects, which symbolize long-term cooperation.   The highlight of the trade fair? The signing of a partnership with the Egyptian National Institute for Transport (ENIT) of the Ministry of Transportation (MOT), marking the launch of joint initiatives to train and support young Egyptian engineers in the standards of major international rail projects. 💪🏻   TransMEA once again confirmed its central role in the development of smart infrastructure in the MEA region.
