🆕 We are pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel JULIEN as President of the Combustion Business Unit. Daniel has had a longstanding career at Fives: In 1990 he joined Fives Pillard, a leader in industrial combustion located in Marseille, as Project Manager before managing the Contract Department. In 1997, he moved to Fives North American Combustion France as the CEO, a position he held until 2008 before when he returned to Fives Pillard as Chief Operation Officer. He took the position of Managing Director of Fives Pillard from 2015 to 2021. In 2021, he was appointed Vice President of Energy | Combustion before becoming the President. His journey within Fives is a true example of leadership built on experience and adaptability. Having held different positions in various of the Group’s subsidiaries over the years, Daniel combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of the field. His open-minded approach and ability to work across cultures have been key assets, especially during his recent missions in India and China, where he successfully supported local development of our combustion activities. Daniel’s career reflects a commitment to innovation and collaboration. Once again, Fives made history at the Paris EKIDEN! This 12th participation set a new milestone: 55 teams and 330 runners from France, Italy, and the UK, proudly representing 20 subsidiaries and Fives Headquarters. Among them, 31 mixed teams and 2 all-female teams showed that diversity and determination go hand in hand! Despite the rain, nothing could dampen the energy, enthusiasm, and competitive spirit of our runners. Every stride was a statement of motivation, teamwork, and perseverance. Fives, Cemex, and CSMX, accelerate circular construction in Mexico 🇲🇽 On the occasion of French President Emmanuel Macron’s official visit to Mexico, Fives signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cemex Regenera and Concretos Sustentables to study the implementation of Fives’ cutting-edge solution for recycling and reusing construction and demolition materials. ♻️ The initiative aims to launch Mexico’s first concrete recycling workshop within the Circular Economy Industrial Park in Tula, Hidalgo. Powered by FCB Rhodax® technology, the facility will make it possible to separate and reuse the key components of concrete aggregates, sand, and cement paste supporting full reintegration into new production cycles. “This partnership marks a significant milestone in accelerating the transition toward circular construction in Mexico. Together, at the Novelis site in Voerde, Germany 🇩🇪, we have upgraded three aluminium melting furnaces with Fives’ North American TwinBed® II regenerative technology 🔥. This resulted in over 40% reduction in carbon footprint and significantly lower gas consumption. 📉 From engineering and design to commissioning, the project was fully managed by Fives North American Combustion, Inc.
