With week 3️⃣ now complete in Ireland for the first year team. Emma Hunter reflects on the communications and teamwork development. "This week communication and teamwork were front and centre. Our communications workshop with Clodagh Kavanagh challenged us to think about how we listen, how to get our message across effectively, and how leadership is often about creating space for others to contribute. We enjoyed some team-building exercises as part of this workshop which highlighted how different strengths can come together to achieve a shared goal. We also visited the Racing Academy and Centre of Education where practical sessions in lunging and long-reining prepared us for yearling yards, and continued our anatomy and physiology lectures at University College Dublin, which provides valuable technical context to match the hands-on learning. Our third week was a great balance of communication skills, horsemanship, and technical knowledge; all key elements in a fast-moving industry such as this." #Leadership #ProfessionalDevelopment #ThoroughbredIndustry #GlobalTalent

Two weeks in, and our first-year team is already learning fast! 🇮🇪✨ Hear from Luke O'Neill as he shares his insights from their start to the programme in Ireland. "Our first two weeks as Godolphin Flying Start trainees have been nothing short of amazing, from meeting our fellow trainees, to getting to know the Flying Start Team and the wider Godolphin team at Kildangan Stud. On top of all of this, we got straight into workshops and lectures, meaning we were kept busy! This included two days at University College Dublin for Equine Anatomy and Physiology lectures, as well as a two-day Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint course with IACT International Academy of Computer Training. We also got a tour the Kildangan Stud offices, the farm and got to see the Irish based Darley stallions which was fascinating. It has been a highly enjoyable start and leaves our whole team filled with excitement and anticipation for our short and long term progression on the course." #Leadership #ProfessionalDevelopement #ThoroughbredIndustry #GlobalTalent
