Last week saw the launch of “Advancing Equity: Insights from the Power2Progress Intervention”, authored by UCD Professor Judith Harford. Power2Progress is a collaboration between University College Dublin and Zurich in Ireland, funded by the Z Zurich Foundation and Rethink Ireland. Starting in 2019, the programme had the aim of fostering resilience in the Irish education system, through an intervention plan to reach approximately 600 senior cycle DEIS school students across 15 schools, integrating a four year PHD to inform future educational policy. This latest landmark report talks about the impact of the Power2Progress programme; and how targeted academic support, career mentoring and digital inclusion can transform outcomes for students in DEIS schools across Ireland. Zurich employees took a small action for the environment over the past few weeks by taking part in the community Clean Coasts beach cleans at Rosslare Strand in Wexford and Booterstown and Sandymount Strand in Dublin. Together, our two beach clean-ups helped remove 63kg of rubbish from local parks and the coastline, making a real difference to our community.
