The meeting was cordial where he acknowledged the contributions of the Mysore Lancers & Mysore Maharajas to Karnataka & Bharat towards building a Modern India. It's a matter of pride that the Mysore Maharaja HH Shri Jaya Chamarajendra Wadiyar was appointed as the 1st Governor of Karnataka from 1956 to 1964 by the President of India Dr Rajendra Prasad, before that from 1950 to 1956 he was the Rajpramukh of Mysore. Gems of Bharat: Maa Danteshwari Mandir 🛕🌺🌹 🛕🌺🌹Maa Danteshwari Temple, located in Jagdalpur, Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, is a revered Shakti Peetha dedicated to Goddess Danteshwari, an incarnation of Shakti. The temple's origins trace back to ancient times, but its current structure was constructed in the 14th century by King Annam Deva of the Kakatiya dynasty, who migrated from Warangal and founded the Bastar Kingdom. It is the kuldevi (family goddess) of the Bastar Royal family, with ties to the region's Nagvanshi and other ruling dynasties, and is central to the famous Bastar Dussehra festival, one of the world's longest celebrations which is celebrated for 75 days. The Airport in Bastar is also named as "Maa Danteshwari Airport" ✈️ Bastar has a predominantly tribal population, with Adivasis making up around 70% of its residents, including communities like the Gonds, Marias, Murias, Bhatras, Halbas, and Dhurvas. Also has been impacted by Naxals for long. Great to have an audience with the #Maharaja of Bastar HH Shri Kamal Chandra Bhanj Deo.
