🚨Bihar State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Ltc., COMFED (SUDHA). • On July 29, Bihar Cabinet led by Chief Minister • Nitish Kumar • announced the establishment of 5 new Dairy plants (3 milk collection and processing plants and 2 milk powder manufacturing units)at an estimated cost of ₹316 Crore. 🧩 Key Points - • Milk collection and processing plants with a combined capacity of 5 lakh litres per day will be set up at Darbhanga, Gaya Ji (Wazirganj) and Gopalganj. • The dairy plants at Darbhanga and Gaya Ji (Wazirganj) will get 2 lakh litres per day each and Gopalganj will get 1 lakh litres per day, said Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) • S.Siddhartha • The cost of each plant will be ₹71.32 crore, ₹50.27Cr and ₹54.73Cr respectively. • Two milk powder manufacturing units will be set up at Dehri-on-Sone (Rohtas) and Sitamarhi with a capacity of 30 metric tonnes per day with an investment of ₹69.66Cr and ₹70.33Cr respectively. 🎯 Significance - •Providing employment in local areas •Promoting the dairy industry •Improving the livelihood of farmers •Meeting the growing demand for milk products 📈 Dairy Industry’s Role in Agricultural Growth - • The State Government emphasizes the important contribution of the dairy industry to the State's GDP and need for improved breeds of milch animals.The new dairy units will also help in cooperative extension and improve the quality of milk. 💰 Finance of Project - • The plants will be financed through loans from Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and Bihar State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Ltc., COMFED (SUDHA). 🔔 Follow AMIT SINGH for more such informations. ♻️ Feel free to repost it on your connection if you found this insightful. #bihar #dairyplants #dairy #comfed #bscmcf #sudha #sudhadairy
