Yesterday marked an important step in promoting innovation in Europe, following the signing of a co-financing agreement between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Angelini Ventures. The initiative, aligned with EIB's TechEU investment programme which supports technological development across our continent, sets out a joint commitment of €150 million over the next six years to finance start-ups in the biotechnology and digital health sectors, helping them develop market-ready, scalable solutions. Being selected by the financial arm of the European Union as the first healthcare corporate venture capital partner in a project of this scale is a meaningful recognition. It places our innovation efforts within a wider strategic framework and allows us to contribute to Europe’s competitiveness while creating real value for people’s lives. A sincere thank-you to Gelsomina Vigliotti, Alessandro Izzo, Stefano Marzario and Paolo Di Giorgio for this significant partnership. Our work continues, guided by the responsibility and enthusiasm of those who believe in the impact of research and investment in building a better future.
