This week, IVECO, Sesé and the Gobierno de Aragón - Government of Aragon, Spain, signed a cooperation #agreement to launch the first pilot project for autonomous trucks in real traffic in Southern Europe. The project aims to have two level 4 #autonomy heavy vehicles — autonomous driving with supervision from an onboard driver — operating on the Zaragoza–Madrid motorway by 2028, with a testing schedule planned between 2026-2027 to calibrate systems, validate technology and ensure #safety. This new pilot represents another step in our journey towards #innovation and safety, further strengthening our commitment to continue developing autonomous and connected driving solutions that will shape the future of transport. #WeGoBeyond #Innovation

Apresentamos ao Governo de Minas Gerais o documento Futuro em Movimento: Propostas Colaborativas para a Mobilidade Sustentável, resultado de um trabalho construído a muitas mãos - indústria, setor público, entidades de classe e academia. O material, entregue na última semana, reúne recomendações que podem acelerar a #descarbonização do transporte no Estado, com foco em três caminhos essenciais: ampliar o uso de combustíveis renováveis, modernizar frotas e facilitar o acesso a mecanismos de financiamento verde. Como representantes da indústria nesse diálogo, estruturamos as contribuições em três frentes prioritárias: ▪️ Combustíveis sustentáveis: expansão do uso de biometano, etanol e HVO, com programas dedicados a frotas cativas e ao transporte urbano e regional. ▪️ Renovação e eficiência da frota: substituição de veículos antigos e criação de corredores prioritários com infraestrutura elétrica e de combustíveis renováveis. ▪️ Ambiente regulatório e financiamento verde - linhas de crédito acessíveis, incentivos fiscais, estímulo à inovação e maior participação empresarial no monitoramento da descarbonização. Leveraging #AI for effective data management. Last week, Fabio Ricciato, our Head of IT AI & Data and Customer Journey & Digital Architecture, joined the Milan stage of the ‘Data + AI World Tour’ organised by Databricks – our partner in data management – and attended by more than 1,000 participants. The event is part of their world tour which stops off at several locations globally aimed at highlighting the role of AI as a strategic enabler across industries, building #data platforms that support diverse and evolving use cases. In his keynote speech, Fabio shared how we are evolving a modern, scalable foundation for trusted and reusable data. By fostering cross-functional #collaboration and aligning data practices across our teams, we are making data easily accessible and useful thanks to AI. #WeGoBeyond #Innovation

As part of our #DEI commitments to gender equity, we mark this year’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women by raising #awareness and supporting projects that make a difference to women in vulnerable situations. We continue to partner with ActionAid Italia and Fondazione L'Albero della Vita E.T.S. on initiatives that combat gender-based violence, empower women and strengthen protection systems, making a real #impact. Furthermore, we are holding seminars at our sites to provide support and resources for women. These sessions give colleagues the chance to learn, share experiences and engage in meaningful conversations on this topic. Let’s stand together in our #commitment to ending violence against women - not just on 25ᵗʰ November, but every day. Our DEI approach is built on five action areas - gender equity, ability inclusion, affective orientation & gender identity, social & cultural diversity, and intergenerational relations - and these guide the concrete actions we take throughout the year. Enhancing road safety through innovative #software solutions. Fabrizio Conicella, our Head of Software and Analytics Lab, this week joined the ‘Towards the Sustainable Vehicle Era 2025’ event, held at Politecnico di Torino bringing together stakeholders leading the #transformation for a more sustainable and technologically advanced future of mobility. During the session titled ‘How can Collective and Perception Data Improve Vehicle Safety’, Fabrizio outlined how data can be leveraged to improve vehicle #safety. He highlighted the successful results of the development of an innovative software solution that significantly enhances road safety for both drivers and pedestrians. The system leverages Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication — a breakthrough technology that enables vehicles to exchange data with other vehicles, infrastructure, pedestrians and networks to improve traffic efficiency and safety. Developed within the framework of the MOST - Centro nazionale per la mobilità sostenibile project and tested using an IVECO eDaily, the innovative system represents an important step forward in our journey towards connected and autonomous #mobility. #WeGoBeyond

Yesterday at the Industrial Village, we hosted the ‘Spoke 12 - Sustainable Propulsion Systems’ event, under the banner of MOST - Centro nazionale per la mobilità sostenibile. This was the final dissemination meeting of Spoke 12, a project involving a network of key players – universities, research centres and industries – aimed at creating full-scale prototype applications in sustainable and innovative #propulsion. The event was conducted by Andrea Gerini, Open Innovation, Iveco Group, and brought together colleagues and representatives of industries that operate in the field of H2 ICE technologies, #research institutions and associations of Regione Piemonte, as well as members of MOST. We also welcomed Matteo Marnati, Assessor for Research, Innovation and Environment at the Regione Piemonte who provided his insightful vision about the future role of research and innovation for industry competitiveness and about the crucial role of public-private collaboration in achieving this. During the meeting, Pierpaolo Biffali, our Head of Innovation & Advanced Engineering, and Powertrain Projects & Product Engineering, highlighted how university education plays a crucial role in advancing #innovative technologies, responding to the needs of the constantly evolving industrial world. Hans Breevoort, Vehicle Advanced Engineering - Medium & Heavy Trucks and Sergio Giordana, Propulsion & Energy Innovation - Alternative Fuels, presented the results related to the project ‘Retrain’, showing the #development process, alongside our academic partners, of simulation models to improve the performance and the design of specific engine and vehicle systems and components.
