This role sits within their high-performing Global Travel Retail function, a fast-paced and culturally diverse team spanning 20+ international locations. With over 30 nationalities represented and a remit that brings brands to life across global travel hubs, this is a dynamic environment offering both complexity and global exposure.


They are now seeking a Financial Accountant with strong Accounts Receivable and Credit Control experience to support the Financial Control team through a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role is central to ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient cash collection, and robust accounting processes across multiple countries.


Key Responsibilities:

Credit Control & Accounts Receivable

  • Allocate cash, perform daily matching, and manage AR collections
  • Produce ageing reports, overdue reporting, and AR KPIs including DSO
  • Manage customer queries, build relationships with AP teams, and resolve issues quickly in collaboration with Operations
  • Conduct regular credit limit reviews and ensure customer credit exposure is well managed
  • Support cash flow forecasting and provide visibility on expected receipts


Financial Accounting

  • Support the month-end closing process across multiple markets
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns across different countries, advising on VAT treatment for invoices
  • Perform reconciliations, journal postings, and ledger management
  • Assist the wider Financial Accounting team and contribute to process improvement initiatives


Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent; part-qualified ACCA or similar desirable
  • Strong foundational accounting knowledge
  • Solid experience in cash collections and credit control
  • Strong Excel capability with confidence handling data
  • Experience with ERPs such as Oracle JD Edwards or SAP (posting journals, bank recs, closing ledgers, running queries)
