I'm excited to share that I'm joining Microsoft AI as Clinical Lead for Behavioral Health. As AI systems like #Copilot become integrated into daily life, understanding how they interface with human behavior, psychology, and mental health has never been more important. In joining MAI's health team, I'll work alongside an extraordinary group of designers, engineers, research scientists and clinicians focused on improving the safety and helpfulness of these systems. I'll apply my background in psychiatry and cognitive neuroscience to deepen our understanding of frontier AI systems and human-AI interaction, and use these insights to guide responsible AI development. At its heart, this is about building AI that truly serves people, enhancing human judgment and connection rather than diminishing it. Alongside this new role, I'll continue to lead clinical and computational neuroscience research programs at the University of Oxford. Grateful to Mustafa Suleyman, Dominic King, MD PhD, Christopher Kelly, and the wider Microsoft AI team for the warm welcome. Looking forward to the work ahead.
