Attending the Sterling Bank Leadership Series was a refreshing reminder of why I’m passionate about building products that sit at the intersection of EdTech and FinTech. As a Product Manager, I constantly think about how we can design solutions that don’t just educate but actually prepare people for the realities of the workplace. A few highlights that stood out to me: 🔑 Bridging the gap between academic learning and real work skills — many graduates struggle to translate theory into practice, and this gap is where EdTech innovation becomes powerful. 🤝 Partnerships with the private sector — crucial for shaping curriculums and learning experiences that align with industry needs. This is where collaboration can make education future-proof. 💡 Beyond Education’s mindset shift — moving learners from just passing exams to building capabilities that truly serve them in life and work. ⏳ The quadrant for time management reminded me that productivity isn’t about doing more, but about prioritizing what matters most. 🌍 And from a FinTech lens, it’s clear that financial access and inclusion also shape learning opportunities. I believe partnerships like the one between Miva Open University and Sterling are key. By embedding accessible financial tools into educational ecosystems, we can lower barriers to mentorship, training, and real-world projects. For me, these conversations shape how I approach product innovation — making sure that what we build doesn’t just look good on paper but drives meaningful growth for learners, professionals, and the communities they serve.
