We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Sertaç Sürür as President EMEA at Barentz, effective 1 December 2025. Sertaç succeeds Lars Schneider, who decided to leave Barentz for personal reasons. We worked closely with Lars to ensure a smooth transition and thank him for his many contributions and leadership. We wish him every success in his future endeavours. Sertaç brings more than 25 years of experience in the specialty chemicals and ingredients distribution industry, with a strong track record of leading diverse teams and delivering sustainable growth. His leadership style is rooted in building strong customer partnerships, driving innovation, and empowering teams to succeed. With deep expertise in M&A and business integration, Sertaç is well-positioned to support our strategic ambitions and further strengthen our presence across the EMEA region. We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Jakub Matys as Country Manager Barentz Czech Republic and Slovakia, effective 1 December 2025. Jakub succeeds Pavel Kratochvil, who decided to retire after 35 years. Jakub will work closely with Pavel to ensure a smooth transition. Pavel has been instrumental for Barentz and has been on the Barentz Board for many years. We wish him every success in his future endeavours. Jakub brings strong experience in the specialty chemicals and ingredients distribution industry. He joins Barentz from Azelis, where he started as their Regional SC Manager for CEE and since 2013 served during the last 12 years as their Regional Managing Director for the Central Region (Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary).
