Een Hackathon georganiseerd door het Ministerie van Buitenlandse zaken in samenwerking met de ministeries van Burundi, Oeganda, Rwanda en Congo. Centraal stond de problematiek rondom het Grote Merengebied in Afrika. Voor een script dat automatische data mined van OpenStreetView om ontwikkeling in levensomstandigheden te meten ontving mijn team de Best Concept Award.

Tijdens de vierde editie van de Utrecht Data School ontving ik training op het gebied van data scraping, data analyse, sociale media en visualisatie. Ook nam ik deel aan een data-gedreven onderzoek naar misdaden tegen de mensheid tijdens de Dirty War in Argentinië, in opdracht van Oxfam Novib/Lokaal Mondiaal.
