Meet Monique.  A few years ago, a brain hemorrhage paralyzed the right side of her body and turned her life upside down. After two years of rehabilitation, she wasn’t sure she would ever return to work. But with workplace adjustments, supportive colleagues and a team learning how to best work together, she gradually rediscovered her strengths and returned to IKEA. Her story is a reminder of perseverance and resilience, but also of our responsibility as a company to create more opportunities for people with disabilities and to champion true inclusion. For the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we highlight stories like Monique’s, that show why accessible tools, supportive workplaces and inclusive mindsets matter.
