Yet the financing gap for restoring and protecting ecosystems remains significant. That’s why the European Commission has launched its Roadmap towards Nature Credits – to mobilize private capital for measurable, verified nature-positive action. We’re proud that DNV has been selected to join the Commission’s Expert Group on Nature Credits, contributing our assurance and certification expertise to help design a high-integrity market from the outset. Bente Pretlove, Programme Director, Food and Ocean Systems Research, will represent DNV on the expert group. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 Building trust will require robust baselines and metrics, credible certification, long-term monitoring, transparent governance, and safeguards against greenwashing.
