Progress is moving fast at our Melbourne site. 🚧 🚨 Racking is now going up, the floor has been fully marked out, and Geek+ robots have arrived and are ready to roll. The PopPick stations are pre-assembled and being carefully lifted into position by crane, alongside the installation of the conveyor system. This build features a unique design that brings together bulk and tote-to-person into one seamless solution. A perfect example of how warehouse automation can reshape warehouse performance! Last month, DHL Supply Chain officially opened their new automated warehouse in Auckland. The new 14,100 square metre health logistics site in Auckland, increases its total healthcare warehouse space in New Zealand by 20%. This new site is built to support the growing demand for healthcare across the country. DHL has invested in advanced automation at the site, including 41 Geek+ robots help speed up the delivery of medicines and healthcare products nationwide, even to remote areas, and support new direct-to-patient and direct-to-pharmacy delivery models, all with a strong focus on safety, quality, and traceability. The facility supports logistics needs right across the healthcare sector, including natural medicines, biopharma, biotechnology, veterinary products, generic medicines, medical devices, and consumer health products. Around 80 people will work at the Auckland site, including New Zealand’s largest health logistics Quality Assurance team, plus a growing number of specialists in data analysis, mechatronics, and robotics. Run by DHL Health Logistics, the Te Kapua site helps simplify complex, cross-border supply chains for life sciences and healthcare customers and supports their changing needs. The successful deployment of the Geek+ system and Modular Conveyors Ltd systems at the new DHL Supply Chain Auckland warehouse facility is now complete. This automation solution is designed to increase throughput, improve accuracy, and provide scalable capacity for one of New Zealand’s key health logistics hubs. Working with Geek+ and Auckland Racking & Shelving Solutions to provide a racking infrastructure for 28,800x Goods-to-Person automated retrieval and replenishment system. Alongside the GTP system, 17,000 pallet locations across frozen, chilled and DG2, DG3, DG6 and DG8 areas, including high-security and VNA storage. With pallet racking rated to 18,000 kg per bay, this is DHL’s second large-scale Healthcare and Life Sciences warehouse. #DHL #Auckland #Automation #Robotics #Logistics #SupplyChain

June was a big month for us - we hosted the very first Networking Event in New Zealand for Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) and it exceeded every expectation. 🚀 What started as an idea to bring people together in NZ, around shared supply chain challenges turned into a room full of engaged professionals from logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, technology, and everything in between. The energy was unreal. Some highlights from the night: 🤝 New connections formed between operators, leaders and solution providers. 💬 Open conversations about capacity constraints, labour challenges, and rising customer expectations. 💡 Practical ideas and how automation with better collaboration can drive warehouse efficiency.
