Industry Meets Classroom: CodeGirls x Contour Software CodeGirls just wrapped up the final presentations for our Software Support Representative track last weekend. When we launched this pilot track, our goal was clear: introduce our students to the high-demand but under-recognized field of Software Support—an area many participants weren't fully aware of before.   Piloting a new training program isn’t easy. We extend heartfelt gratitude to our trainer and curator from Contour Software, Sohaib Ahmed Khattak - (CSM) (CSPO), whose expertise and dedication made this possible. 🌟 What Makes Software Support Rep Training Stand Out? 🔹 Niche Career Path  Unlike broad-based coding or cloud bootcamps, Software Support is a unique entry-level gateway into tech—vital for real-world operations, yet often overlooked. 🔹 Immediate Outcomes 3/11 trainees in the cohort were offered trainee SSR roles during the cohort, 2 accepted and started their first jobs in tech. This highlights how the track bridged theory to practice with relevance and impact. 🔹 Alternate Pathways  Not every student aspires to become a developer. This track creates an equally rewarding career path for those with strong communication, problem-solving, and client service skills, opening access to the international job market in customer success, support engineering, and beyond.
