Chief Clinical Innovation Officer at Medrina| Digital Health Advisor | Award-Winning Physiatrist

Whirlwind of a few days at the AAPM&R Annual Assembly! This marks my 19th straight conference — and I can’t wait to celebrate the 20th next year in Orlando. It’s always inspiring to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and spend time with colleagues, mentors, and mentees who share the same passion for advancing our field. I’m incredibly proud to be part of the Program Planning Committee, and thrilled by the energy, turnout, and feedback around our Innovation & AI Member Community — a space dedicated to positioning Physiatry at the forefront of digital transformation. This year, I had the privilege of giving three talks on topics close to my heart: - Empowering Physiatrists - Practical Applications of AI in Physiatry - Preventing Burnout through Technology and Diversification I’m also so proud to see my friend Matthew Cowling, D.O. FAAPMR CIME recognized with the Early Career Physiatrist Award — a well-deserved honor for his leadership and innovation. And a huge congratulations to my mentor, Charlotte Smith M.D., on being named President-Elect of AAPM&R — an incredible and well-earned achievement. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do — helping shape the future of Physiatry through innovation, collaboration, and purpose. See you all next year in Orlando! ☀️ medrina American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) Matthew Allen Chris Lewis Rosalynn Conic Monique Díaz, MD Juewon Khwarg Lauren Shapiro Evan Zeldin, MD, FAAPMR Kazi Zayn Hassan, MD
