Gratitude, teamwork, and tradition filled our hangars during this year’s Thanksgiving Celebration! We enjoyed a festive lunch and proudly recognized our Pioneers and 5-Year Service awardees for their continued commitment. As a token of appreciation, our Pioneers received engraved company-logo watches and personalized jackets embroidered with their names, symbols of the legacy they’ve helped build. We closed the day with a fun-spirited Turkey Race, where team spirit took center stage and our fastest runners took home the turkey! BBQ, Baskets, and Big Wins! After several exciting weeks of friendly competition, our Basketball Tournament Finals brought the LTPR family together for an unforgettable evening of energy, teamwork, and joy. With music in the air, delicious BBQ, and activities for kids, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, cheering, and a true sense of community — a celebration of everything that makes Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico special. We were especially honored to welcome Dr. Janna Schumacher, Board Member of Lufthansa Technik, and Andreas Tielmann, CCO Aircraft Maintenance Services, who joined in the fun — and even shared the court for a few plays before the big game! Coming Together for Jamaica In the wake of Hurricane Melissa’s devastating impact on Jamaica, the people of Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico once again showed their big hearts. Employees from across our company and surrounding communities came together to collect relief supplies, water, clothing, and toys for those affected by the storm. What began as an employee-driven initiative quickly grew into a community effort- with LTPR providing logistical support to make it all possible. In the presence of our colleague Rollington James, himself born in Jamaica, the relief goods -more than 27 pallets of supplies in total- were officially handed over from our employees to the Mayor of Aguadilla, Mr. Julio Roldán, who will ensure their safe delivery to Jamaica with the help of the Municipality’s logistics network. This collaboration is a powerful example of what can be achieved when compassion meets action and when our Puerto Rican spirit of solidarity reaches beyond our shores. A Decade of Excellence in Puerto Rico This week, we continued celebrating 10 years of Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico (LTPR). This time alongside government officials, industry partners, and Lufthansa Technik senior leaders. Yesterday’s event was a tribute to partnership, collaboration, and the shared vision that has shaped our journey over the past decade. We were honored to welcome: Francisco J. Domenech, Chief of Staff, representing Governor Jenniffer González Colón, Attorney Norberto Negrón, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Ports Authority, Carlos Ríos, Deputy Secretary of DDEC, Dr. Janna Schumacher, Chief HR Officer & Board Member, Lufthansa Technik AG. Dr. Schumacher expressed her gratitude for Puerto Rico’s continued support, invited Governor González Colón to visit our headquarters in Germany, and thanked every LTPR employee for their dedication; reminding us that none of this would be possible without them. Together, we renewed our commitment to growing and developing local talent, strengthening collaboration between government, industry and education & investing in innovation and infrastructure to keep Puerto Rico at the forefront of aviation MRO in the Americas. Our thoughts are with the people of Jamaica and all countries across the Caribbean affected during this difficult time. We stand in solidarity with the people and communities throughout the region. At Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico, we know first-hand what it means to be hit by a devastating storm. Having received help and support after Hurricane Maria, we deeply understand the importance of solidarity in moments like this. That’s why we’ve decided to contribute and help! As a first step, we will donate the water supplies we had prepared for this year’s hurricane season. To celebrate this achievement and to say a heartfelt thank you, we treated our team to some well-deserved ice cream cookies!🍦 Involve Me! is a Lufthansa Group-wide survey that empowers employees to share their input and help shape our workplace; from leadership and collaboration to communication and culture. Thanks to the feedback in previous years, the survey has already helped drive positive change at LTPR; including improved focus on ergonomics & better health support, LTPR basketball court and adjusted benefits and conditions. Because we know that prioritizing your health can sometimes take a back seat, at Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico, we place your well-being in the captain’s seat. Last week, we brought wellness directly to our team through an onsite Health Fair, offering essential services like lab testing, blood pressure checks, vision screenings, mental health support, vaccinations, and more. 🩺💙 Special thanks to everyone who took part, and to our incredible partners who helped make this event a success. Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Lcdo. Norberto J. Negrón Díaz, Executive Director of Autoridad de los Puertos de Puerto Rico and Sebastián Negrón-Reichard, Secretary of the Departamento de Desarrollo Económico y Comercio, to our aircraft hangars at Rafael Hernández International Airport.   We had a valuable discussion with LTPR’s Executive Team on current challenges and future opportunities. They experienced firsthand our operations with a detailed tour, as we discussed the impact Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico generates for the island as the only Heavy Maintenance Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul facility in the wider region.   Their visit highlights their dedication to advancing and growing Puerto Rico’s aviation and aerospace sector. #TakingOffTogether #ExcellenceInMotion

Recently, we welcomed the children of our LTPR team for Kids to Work Day, giving them the opportunity to explore the world of aircraft maintenance firsthand over three separate days. Our young visitors toured the hangars, participated in interactive stations, and learned about engineering, safety practices, and teamwork.
