On 5 June, the #AEROSUB project was present at the EU-Funded Marine Robotics and Applications (EMRA) Workshop in Trondheim 🇳🇴, joining the discussion on the future of #MarineRobotics and #OffshoreWind technologies! ⚡Edin Omerdic and Isela Ibrahimovic from the Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CRIS - UL) presented AEROSUB’s approach to robotic solutions for operation and maintenance across fixed and floating wind farms. The International Conference on Unmanned Aircraft Systems 2025 (#ICUAS) has wrapped up! 🚀 The AEROSUB project was represented at the event by Antonio González Morgado and Álvaro Caballero Gómez from the Universidad de Sevilla. They presented several papers, including two during the invited session titled “Advances in Aerial Robotics for Inspection and Maintenance”, organised in collaboration with Prof. Fabio Ruggiero (University of Naples Federico II) and Prof. Giuseppe Loianno (New York University). 🤖 The session highlighted how AEROSUB is driving forward smarter, safer, and more sustainable solutions for offshore operations through cutting-edge robotics. 📍 Follow us to see where AEROSUB is headed next!

The future of #OffshoreWind starts at the sea. #EuropeanMaritimeDay, celebrated each year on 20 May, raises awareness of the seas and their vital role in Europe’s future. #MeetThePartners: OW Ocean Winds is a global offshore wind energy company created in 2019 through a joint venture between EDPR France and ENGIE. With projects across Europe, North America, and Asia, Ocean Winds aims to make #OffshoreWind one of the main sources of renewable energy by delivering more efficient and sustainable solutions. 🤝 The first #AEROSUB workshop took place on 8th April in Viana do Castelo, right by the Lima River! The technological partners gathered to discuss real-world offshore wind O&M challenges and present the innovative technologies driving the project forward. 🔍 Throughout the day, the partners discussed use cases and scenarios directly inspired by end-user needs – a key step to ensure impactful and relevant demonstrations in the next stages of the project.
