Yesterday, our CEO Nathanial Matthews, PhD spoke at Howden’s De-Risking Summit 2025 at London Climate Action Week. As part of the panel, ‘Evolving Landscapes – Quantifying Risk and Resilience to Mobilise Investment in Nature and Agriculture,’ Nate shared some insights: ‣ We all have a responsibility to support greater on-the ground resilience, taking a holistic approach that protects both communities and the planet. This is at the core of PlanetaryX’s mission – working with local communities and responsible landowners, incentivising the protection and restoration of ecosystems. ‣ Insurance plays a key role, not only in protecting against the impacts of climate change for individuals and organisations, but driving the innovation and investment we need at scale to build resilience. ‣ Also key is data and technology, which must be reliable, transparent and backed by science to provide investors and markets with the confidence they need to manage risk and drive capital where it’s needed most; towards nature positive investment. Nate said: “Investing in nature is key.
