Director of Continuous Improvement
We are North America’s Leading single sourced data center infrastructure provider. The Director will lead critical transformational projects and programs in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of creative problem-solving skills, operational expertise, and deep knowledge of supply chain processes, LEAN principles, and end-to-end workflows (quote-to-cash). This position will require actions that span multiple facilities and locations to ensure uniform and scalable improvements across the organization.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operational Inefficiency Identification: Detect and resolve operational bottlenecks by implementing sustainable and scalable process improvements.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
  • Process Improvements: Identifying and implementing process changes to optimize inventory management, including order quantities, reorder points, and stock rotation.
  • Kaizen Value Stream Mapping: Utilize value stream mapping techniques to visualize the current/future state and identify areas of improvement.
  • Systems Development: Collaborate with subsidiary leaders to improve and develop systems that create breakthrough customer value.
  • Process Identification and Prioritization: Identify, assess, and prioritize areas for process improvement across the organization, working closely with department heads and cross-functional teams to implement changes.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs and resources to enhance the continuous improvement skills of employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Employee Engagement: Partner with subsidiary leadership to engage a wide range of team members in kaizen events, fostering a culture of collaboration and ownership.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement, and collaborate with team members to implement data-driven solutions to address them.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • KPI Establishment: Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with the organization’s strategy and establish a system for measuring, tracking, and reporting on the impact of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Change Management: Oversee change management efforts, ensuring successful adoption of process improvements and fostering employee engagement in the continuous improvement process.
  • Learning Agility: Continue to develop and stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvement and incorporate them into the organization's strategy.
 
Minimum Qualifications 
  • Accumulate 10 years of experience in progressive operations leadership roles with a specific focus on operational excellence.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of various operations disciplines, including operations, quality systems, EHS&S, Lean/Six Sigma tools, etc.
  • Exhibit a proven track record as a change agent, driving transformative change within organizations.
  • Showcase strong financial and analytical skills, showcasing the ability to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Bring experience in working within a complex and matrixed environment, actively fostering an inclusive and engaging culture.
  • 7+ years of industry experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, and/or Supply Chain (cross-industry experience a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.

Pay Range: $115,000 - $150,000 per year
