𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗜𝗧    Our senior leaders and colleagues recently visited the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)’s Punggol Campus to learn more about SIT’s applied learning approach and how it is shaping industry-ready talent for Singapore’s future economy.   During the visit, the SIT team shared how their distinctive education model integrates multidisciplinary learning, industry-collaborative degree programmes, continuing education pathways, and community-focused initiatives to equip learners with practical skills and a strong sense of purpose.   Our delegation also toured the new Punggol Campus to see how the campus has been thoughtfully designed to support hands-on learning and research, foster closer partnerships with industry, and deepen engagement with the wider community.   A heartfelt thank you to SIT President Kee Chaing (KC) Chua, Deputy President (Industry & Community) Bernard Nee, and the SIT management team for hosting us and sharing their insights. The discussion spanned key themes shaping Singapore’s maritime landscape, including decarbonisation, energy efficiency, emerging technologies, talent development and Singapore’s maritime competitiveness. It was a valuable opportunity to share perspectives, deepen mutual understanding and identify areas for continued collaboration. As part of our 𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗦 (Grow, Empower, Mentor to Succeed) 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲, our captains and mentees recently rolled up their sleeves for a pie-making session.   Guided by a professional chef, participants learned how to bake savoury chicken and mushroom pies — and discovered that mentorship, much like baking, is all about patience, collaboration, and a willingness to try new things together. 💚 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 💚   In conjunction with World Mental Health Day, we were honoured to host an inspiring webinar themed “𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘔𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘋𝘢𝘺 - 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺” with former World and Paralympic Champion Mark Colbourne MBE, who overcame a near-fatal paragliding accident to win Gold in cycling at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.   More than 100 colleagues from Singapore and our global offices joined the session, where Mark spoke about his recovery and the mental health challenges he encountered. Drawing from his personal journey of overcoming adversity, he shared powerful lessons on resilience, adaptability, and the role of discipline and determination in confronting life’s toughest challenges with courage and a positive mindset.   He also emphasised the importance of speaking openly about struggles, whether physical, emotional, or professional, to break stigma and encourage others to seek support early.   A heartfelt thank you to Mark for the inspirational session, and to all our colleagues who joined us in reflecting the importance of mental well-being.
