You can't innovate if your data is a mess. Matthew Hardman, CTO for Hitachi Vantara APAC, is the opposite of disorganized. When he talks about data organization, it's worth listening to him. In a recent podcast, he referenced a statistic from the Hitachi Vantara State of Data Infrastructure Global Report that stated AI models are producing accurate outputs only 32% of the time 🤔 Matthew explained this low accuracy is primarily due to poor data quality, specifically highlighting that: ◼ Only about 30% of data is structured ◼ The remaining 70% is unstructured data like files, geospatial information, video, and audio ◼ Much of this unstructured data is not well-labeled or classified Innovation without solid data foundations is like building a skyscraper on quicksand.
