We're so proud of Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - a great achievement! Well done to everyone involved, we appreciate all the hard work that has gone into making this happen!
6️⃣ years ago Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust became the first hospital in England to acquire Versius. 6 years later, and with a second Versius robot 🤖🤖 surgical teams led by Prof. Barrie Keeler have performed 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣+ robotic surgeries across multi-specialities (colorectal, urology, Gynae and general surgery) providing local patients in Milton Keynes with the better outcomes! As my local hospital and the hospital where I have completed my nursing training years ago, I am extremely proud to have been part of this fantastic robotic programme, and worked with some truly talented people! Congratulations once again team MKUH! Adnan Qureshi Sonpreet Rai Claire McGillycuddy Joe Harrison Ian Reckless Jonathan Dunk Ana Ramona Raduc #versius #transformingsurgeryforgood

🎤Honoured to deliver the inaugural lecture at the 4th Romanian Congress of Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery. CMR Surgical was instrumental in the success of the meeting with interactive hands-on sessions. It’s a true privilege to bring this remarkable technology to my native country and to contribute to the advancement of minimally invasive surgery in Romania.🇹🇩 Grateful to all the colleagues and professionals who continue to push the boundaries of surgical innovation. On 27 November CMR Surgical (CMR) was invited to participate in “Belgian Robot Night” located in Gent, Belgium, an event organised by the Robotic Surgery Working Group (RSWG). The Belgian Robot Night was an event to showcase the latest developments in surgical robotic systems and demonstrate the innovative thinking for the future of robotic surgery. The RSWG was founded as part of the Royal Belgian Society of Surgery (RBSS). Their main purpose is to promote robotic surgery in Belgium and develop accessible surgical robotic training for Belgium’s surgeons. The event featured a lecture highlighting the work of RWSG and the current state of robotic surgery in Belgium. After the lecture, guests were able to explore different booths including one for Versius. This was an insightful and valuable event that a prominent group of Belgium robotic surgeons attended. A massive thank you to Luc Smoorenburg, Cristian Tomè, Claudia Ferreira and Marian Popa for representing CMR at this event. #SurgicalRobotics #RBSS #TransformingSurgery #Versius #Belgium

A premier meeting organised by the renowned GEM Hospital, a leading institution in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery. Over the three days, the Versius team had the opportunity to engage with surgeons through: 1) A hands-on robotic workshop 2) Demonstrations of the Versius Surgical System 3) Interactive sessions with the Versius Trainer & VR platform The event saw excellent participation, meaningful discussions, and strong interest in soft-tissue robotics. A big thank you to Dr C Palanivelu, Dr R Parthasarathi, Dr Harish Kakkilaya, GEM Hospital and the organising committee for a well-curated and impactful academic program. #Versius #minimallyinvasivesurgery #TransformingSurgery #laparosurg2025

An interesting read from a recent publication detailing a novel surgical technique developed with #Versius for managing an ectopic pelvic kidney complication. Using Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Pyelolithotomy performed alongside Buccal Mucosal Graft (BMG) augmentation Pyeloplasty. This represents the first documented case utilising this combination, demonstrating safety and efficacy in addressing complex anatomical challenges. This work underscores the potential of robotic surgery to expand the boundaries of reconstructive urology and improve patient outcomes in rare and challenging scenarios. 📄 Read the full article below #RoboticSurgery #Urology #MedicalInnovation #MinimallyInvasive #ClinicalResearch

Last Friday our team in Italy finished a workshop held in San Donato Hospital Training Centre in Milano. The workshop was lead by Prof. Rosso on synthetic models for thoracic surgery. This course was part of the "ESTS - Italian Chapter" the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons. The international student participants had hands-on sessions and dissection techniques taught by Prof. Lorenzo Rosso, who's a leading #Versius user for Thoracic surgery in Policlinico di Milano. #TransformingSurgery #Italy #Hospital #roboticsurgery

At the beginning of this year, CMR Surgical (CMR) began working closely with MBA SURGICAL EMPOWERMENT our primary distributor in Spain and Portugal. We are proud to announce that on 11th November 2025 an important milestone was reached – over 500 procedures completed at the Ramon y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid. Since #Versius was introduced, procedures have included thoracic surgery, general surgery, urology and gynaecology. The 500th procedure was a tubular gastrectomy; performed in less than two hours by Marta Cuadrado Ayuso and Julio Galindo. Right after this surgery, Marta and Julio went on to use Versius to perform a cholecystectomy. Congratulations to the amazing team at the Ramon y Cajal University Hospital – great work.
