11-year-old Dáire Coyle from Louth, Ireland, has a dream to play golf with Shane Lowry. When Shane and Make-A-Wish Ireland heard about it, they wanted to make Dáire's wish come true and give him an unforgettable experience. In remission from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, golf has become a big part of Dáire’s life, and he plays as often as he can. His family has been a constant source of strength, with his brother Eoin even donating his bone marrow. The opportunity to walk the fairways with one of Ireland’s greatest golfers has always been a dream, and would be made all the more memorable to do it with his family by his side.

At the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo last week, fans were invited to donate any new or used golf equipment when on-site at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, which is now being sent to Ukraine in partnership with the Ukraine Golf Federation. Since the start of the war in Ukraine, over 30,000 civilians and more than 400,000 soldiers have been injured. For the past three golf seasons, golf clubs in Kyiv and Lviv have welcomed weekly groups of patients after amputations and prosthetic treatment. Many of them, trying a golf swing for the first time, discover golf - a sport they never knew - and experience a powerful transformation: finding new purpose, new joy, and a way forward. However, equipment is badly lacking. Our fans really played their part and the results were fantastic, with over 1,100 balls, 440 clubs, 32 bags, and over 1000 items of clothing donated. The Ukrainian Ministry for Veterans is now opening a dedicated golf facility where this equipment will go. #DPWorldTour
