𝐀𝐑 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 💫 We wrapped up September with our annual AR Appreciation Day. A chance to pause, connect, and recognise everything we’ve achieved as a team over the past 12 months. We kicked things off with a challenging ice-breaker (always a fun way to get the brains working!) before reflecting on our many successes, from the projects we’ve landed to the impact of our Continuous Improvement programme, which continues to optimise processes and help us deliver stronger KPIs and SLAs across the year. Each team took the stage to present their highlights in their own unique way – with the Germany team stealing the show through their hilarious “The Office” performance! 📺 We handed out numerous awards for outstanding achievements. Congratulations to all our winners. And we recognised the 28 team members currently studying towards qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, and ILM (the latter being a new addition this year). After a well-earned buffet lunch (pizza followed by strawberries in chocolate – a winning combo 🍓🍕), the afternoon continued with an AR-themed Escape Room, testing everyone’s Excel skills and problem-solving abilities! We also looked ahead to our vision for 2026, before wrapping up with the much-loved Hidden Talent Awards. Who knew we had our very own Atomic Kittens, Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, and even a Bollywood Gang! Thank you to our guests Lubnah Alam, David Parekh, Catherine Bates, Stephanie Ripley & Haleema Ahmed, and a special mention to Simon Morris from our Germany team. Finally, massive appreciation goes to our brilliant organising committee – Clare Hall, Chelsea Davis, Bhupendra Vasta, Safiya Vali, Jebin Sadek, and Kauthur Alwan for making the day such a success. I’m so proud of what this team achieves every single day – we achieve together and celebrate together. What an incredible day at our T Level Business Accounting meet the Employer and Students Event today ! It was a true reflection of great partnership, progress, and potential. The event was a huge success filled with inspiring conversations, valuable connections, and a shared passion for shaping the future workforce. It was lovely to meet all the employers today. A heartfelt thank you to my amazing colleagues Sufiya Rasul and Joanna McKiernan your tireless work behind the scenes, from securing placements to managing the event logistics, made today happen. Your dedication is genuinely appreciated. Thank you for all the support you have given me … ☺️ I was delighted to invite Stephanie Ripley from EG Group who didn’t hesitate to support the event and delivered a brilliant talk to our employers. Stephanie shared the real impact T Level students have had on their business, and how the college’s support has helped them make the most of the placements they have had. Thank you for championing the value of industry placements so passionately! A huge thank you to Yasmin Patel for her excellent curriculum overview, which really helped employers understand the structure and value of T Levels. It was also great to hear from one of the Year 2 T Levels Accounting students on their experience of the T Level placement and how gaining industry relevant experience has helped support her development. I would also like to give a big thanks to my colleagues Zenab B. and Fatima Zafir for their brilliant support throughout the event everything ran smoothly thanks to your efforts in supporting the students. I’m especially proud of our Year 2 Accouting T Level students, who went above and beyond by supporting our Year 1 Accounting students, their guidance, confidence, and leadership were inspiring to watch. It’s moments like these that show how far they’ve come, both professionally and personally. And last but not least, a massive congratulations to the Year 1 Accounting students who did exceptionally well and have all secured placements, your hard work, professionalism, and drive have truly paid off. I couldn’t be prouder of you! We’re excited about what’s ahead and are really looking forward to continuing our collaboration with local employers to create even more valuable opportunities for our learners. Last week over 2 days, we had the pleasure of hosting our Store Manager Meetings at EGspresso EG Group, bringing together our fantastic teams from across the UK – from Scotland to Cornwall. These sessions were all about aligning on our priorities and preparing for the months ahead. We reviewed our business plan, planned for the upcoming holiday season, celebrated and recognised some brilliant achievements, previewed exciting new food products, and kept the energy high with some fun, interactive games. A real highlight was welcoming a guest speaker from Purple Story (The Home of Operational Excellence Solutions) , who delivered an inspiring session on leadership across generations and the power of courageous conversations. It sparked some fantastic reflections and conversations that we’ll carry forward. It was amazing to reconnect in person, share ideas, and build momentum as one team.
