Humanoid teamed up with SAP and MARTUR FOMPAK International to explore how humanoid robots can transform field operations workflows. The POC focuses on intelligent kitting — selecting diverse seat components from organized bins and placing them into containers bound for the production line, alongside tote handling. The system integrates directly with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). It enables real-time inventory visibility and order management. This is the first in a series of our joint POCs with SAP. We’re developing real-world robotics solutions by integrating our HMND 01 robot with SAP’s enterprise software. "Together with SAP, we’re exploring how cognitive robots can extend automation beyond the factory floor, into every environment where people work," says Artem Sokolov, founder of Humanoid. We have successfully completed a POC with Schaeffler for bin picking with our pre-alpha robot. HMND 01 pre-alpha robot performed bin picking of metallic bearing rings in clutter in a near-production setting. The test took place at Schaeffler’s site in Erlangen, Germany. The POC results fully met the established expectations. Our team developed new skills rapidly, fine-tuned performance on-site, and transferred policies from lab to real-world facilities with minimal adjustments. It’s a key step toward humanoid deployment in real manufacturing environments. Now, we are moving into the second phase of the POC — this time, with the alpha robot.
