We're still buzzing from our very first diversity and inclusion networks conference earlier this year! 🎉 From conversations with new connections and engaging panels talking all things D&I, to celebrating our successes and learning new skills, our very first D&I networks conference was a resounding success. We dove into: • Shaping our personal brand and social media, exploring what it really means and how to use it with purpose • Honest discussions about ally-ship and inclusion at work • Celebrating how far we've come and committing to what we need to do next This what one of our attendees had to say "Not only have I felt so included at work but I’ve also learnt how I can support those I ally with." Relive the day and checkout the highlights below! #JoinKier #ThrowbackThursday #KierDIConference2025 #DiversityAndInclusion

Last week it was our first Gender Inclusion Week, hosted by our Gender Alliance Inclusion Network (GAIN). Our events sparked conversation, built understanding, and strengthened allyship with our people exploring gender-specific challenges - from barriers women face in their careers to mental health pressures often experienced by men, with sessions open to all. Highlights included a fireside chat with Sophie Timms, our Corporate Affairs Director, and Chris Browne OBE, Senior Independent Director on the Kier Group Board. Chris shared her incredible career across aviation, retail, and housebuilding, inspiring discussions on how we support women in construction at every stage of life. This was followed by a session on career progression led by Mandy Duncan and Paul Jackson, where our people heard about their career journeys, and from our learning & development team on how Kier can support with career growth. We launched our Working Families Community (WFC), where colleagues can share experiences of caring responsibilities and advise on how Kier can offer more support. Life is busy, and caring responsibilities - for children, parents, siblings or others - can be overwhelming, wonderful, or somewhere in between. The week closed with a powerful online session for International Men’s Day, introduced by our CEO, Stuart Togwell, with Andy May sharing his personal journey with gambling addiction and opening a wider conversation on men’s mental health and wellbeing. Our people reflected how vital these discussions are - particularly in construction, where mental health pressures remain high. It was a great week, which will help us to continue strengthening inclusion at Kier.

Bringing the right people together with our client Severn Trent through our 360 approach to deliver complex water infrastructure. At Yaddlethorpe, our civil engineering, MEICA and design teams worked with our supply chain to build four stormwater storage tanks while keeping the site running safely. This forms part of our contribution to Severn Trent’s wider programme, helping deliver 60 new storm water tanks and creating capacity equal to more than four Olympic sized swimming pools. 👇Explore the full case study via the link below.

In Mansfield, we’ve helped deliver one of the UK’s largest sustainable urban drainage systems with Severn Trent, transforming how surface water is managed while creating greener, more vibrant spaces for people and nature. For communities that have experienced flash flooding in the past, projects like this make a real difference - reducing flood risk, improving local environments, and building climate resilience for the future. A brilliant example of how sustainable infrastructure can create shared value and lasting impact when we think differently. 🎥 Watch the video to see how we’re working together to protect communities and enhance local places.
