Our outstanding contribution to specialist construction 🏆 In 2024, Lynch, in partnership with City & Guilds, launched a construction plant training center within HM Prison and Probation Service Highpoint, aptly called "Second Chances." At the time, we heard from members of the very first cohort, expressing their excitement for the future and how this program was already changing their lives. Fast forward to today, and this effort was recognised at the CN Specialist Awards, where we received the accolade for Outstanding Contribution to Construction. We are incredibly proud of the delivery team who have got us to this point, but we know there's still more work to do! This recognition is only valuable if we continue to deliver results:  Reducing re-offending, bridging the skills gap, and, importantly, changing lives. We hope that this award raises awareness of the scheme and encourages key players in the industry to ask themselves, "Can I give someone a second chance?" We are proudly supporting our customer, Guildmore Ltd. as they build a café and carry out civils works on Hole Farm, a brand-new community woodland. 🚧 Hole Farm sits near the end of the Lower Thames Crossing and will feature outdoor spaces and facilities for the local community, while also creating new habitats to promote biodiversity. We are providing operated plant hire to assist with this construction and civils work, including forming footpaths and ecological ponds, as well as EV charging points in the car parks... getting the transformation well underway! 🌱 As part of our joint commitment to sustainable construction and to reduce our environmental impacts, all plant and equipment on site is running on biofuel, rather than traditional fossil fuels. Additionally, we have collaborated with Guildmore to provide eco operator training to all drivers, ensuring they are as efficient as they are safe, reducing carbon emissions and fuel costs.   Guildmore are supporting National Highways, Forestry England and Balfour Beatty plc Beatty on the Lower Thames Crossing project, which aims to nearly double road capacity over the River Thames. This development will provide millions of people in London, Essex, and Kent with a reliable new route, offering greater choices for where they live, work, and spend their time.
