Great to see one of our Landscape Architects, Jane Fortescue, celebrating and supporting Pride at Chester this weekend with the RSK Group!
I've been to one or two Prides over the years but I've never actually marched in one before. RSK Group were a sustainability partner at Chester Pride so I went up for the day to celebrate everything LGBTQ+. I had a fabulous time representing the RSK Pride Network and Stephenson Halliday 🏳️🌈

Last month, Stephenson Halliday was pleased to attend and present at the RTPI South West seminar, “BNG Is Here – What’s Next?” Held in Exeter, the event brought together planners, ecologists, legal experts, and local authority officers to explore the practicalities of delivering Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), particularly on small-scale developments. One of our Planning Directors, Sarah Curnow, shared an insightful presentation on the delivery of BNG at Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites, where limited space can create unique and often complex challenges. Read more about our experience at the event in the article below.

Stephenson Halliday is delighted to have provided Landscape and Graphics services in support of RWE’s Byers Gill Solar development, which has now been granted Development Consent by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. Our Landscape Architecture and Graphics & Visualisations teams worked collaboratively to deliver the landscape design, visualisations and Landscape and Ecological Management Plan for this nationally significant solar farm, which will have 180MW capacity. We are proud to have received positive recognition from the Planning Inspectorate, who stated: “In particular, the design of the Proposed Development has been developed in a way that is functional, well-integrated with its surroundings, and appropriately responsive to environmental and landscape considerations.” We look forward to seeing the successful delivery of this impactful solar farm strengthening the UK’s energy security! #PlanningSuccess #SolarFarm #LandscapeArchitecture #Visualisations #ByersGill
