The number of UK job vacancies are down - likely continuing due to ongoing economic pressures, increased cost of employment and uncertainty around the forthcoming budget. According to the latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) data, the number of vacancies is estimated to have fallen by 9,000 to 717,000 in July-September 2025.
