Today marks Geoffrey Tahuahua’s four-year work anniversary with ABC Texas. In that time, ABC Texas has grown stronger than ever as a team. Under Geoffrey’s leadership, our advocacy, member engagement, and organizational impact have reached new heights. We have expanded our legislative priorities from just one or two per session to nine, giving us a stronger bench of ready-to-pass bills and emerging ideas. We secured major legislative victories such as trust fund claim assignment, accrual date clarification, contract venue protections, and the Regulatory Consistency Act, all strengthening the merit shop and protecting contractors across Texas. Our network of legislative supporters has grown from 20 to about 60 lawmakers statewide, with bipartisan champions now engaged in advancing our priorities. We also modernized our governance, added staff capacity, and expanded our influence nationally, making ABC Texas one of the most effective voices in the construction industry. The progress of the past four years reflects Geoffrey’s vision and the hard work of our entire ABC Texas team, chapters, and members. Together, we have built momentum that positions ABC Texas for even greater success in the years ahead. Here’s to Geoffrey’s leadership and to the continued growth of ABC Texas. #ABCMeritShopProud
