  • Allison has presented on this topic over 20 times since 2020. As we head into a year where opportunities are looking leaner and competition is increasing, it's worthwhile to take a moment to reflect on Marketing's role in building in resiliency to navigate uncertainty. That this upcoming webinar is hosted by her home chapter makes it all the more meaningful!

  • Developing your strategic plan takes a tremendous amount of teamwork and effort. Getting your team mentally prepared for the work ahead ensures the time you spend together will be time well spent. Describing all the working components and structure of the strategic plan is a great first step. Here’s the breakdown. 👇 (sound on)

Strategic planning (and marketing's role in it) is an elusive subject on the conference circuit. Given the state of the economy, recent federal legislation, and budget woes at the state and local levels, AEC firms are rightly concerned about how to best position themselves over the next few years. I am thrilled to speak on this subject at this week's Amplify Conference in Columbus, Ohio. For those attending, I'll offer insight into: - Why strategic plans often fail - How to balance ambitious goals with staff capacity and resources - Guidance for how to conduct a meaningful retreat that results in an implementable plan. Hope to see you there! Thank you to SMPS—Society for Marketing Professional Services for including me in the line-up of such stellar speakers!

As Part 2 of my recent post, I'm thrilled to share more with you about my new venture, AEC Pursuit Strategies. This company is finely tuned to focus on consulting services solely related to strategic planning, team building, and 'must-win' pursuits, allowing me the space to balance the growing workload as a public servant and still dedicate time to the industry I love. It's not often that we as marketing consultants get to turn the lens inward--developing our own brand, crafting messaging that clearly articulates services and core mission, developing and launching a website. I'm excited to see how the brand evolves over time but in these early days, I think this does the trick. ✨ Head on over and check it out! www.aecpursuits.com
