Air India and Singapore Airlines (SIA) entered into a commercial cooperation framework agreement today, laying the foundation for a stronger strategic partnership through a future joint business agreement.   The partnership is aimed at boosting connectivity between India and Singapore, with potential expansion to additional regions, to bring greater choice and convenience to customers of both carriers.    Subject to regulatory clearances and the finalisation of definitive joint business agreements, together we intend to introduce enhanced products and services, coordinate flight schedules, enable seamless transfers across geographies, expand route choices, and enable customers to easily book integrated itineraries across both networks. We were honoured to operate the validation flight to Bhogapuram International Airport earlier this month, marking an important step towards the commencement of commercial operations at this greenfield airport in Andhra Pradesh.   The milestone flight was operated in the presence of the Hon’ble Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri. Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, along with other dignitaries, and represents the first operational movement into an airport envisioned as a key gateway for the Uttarandhra region.   As we continue our transformation into a world-class airline, being part of such defining moments in India’s aviation and infrastructure journey reflects our renewed focus on operational excellence and nation-building.   Bhogapuram International Airport is set to play a significant role in strengthening regional connectivity and supporting long-term economic growth, and we are proud to have been part of this foundational chapter in its journey.
